The International Monetary Fund has become more downbeat about global economic prospects because of the war in Iraq, according to an interview with its managing director, Horst Koehler, published on Wednesday.

Leading NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul, founder of Cobra Beer Karan Bilimoria and controversial author Salman Rushdie figure in a list of Britain's richest Asians named in a new report, but surprisingly steel baron Lakshmi Mittal and the Hinduja brothers are not named in it.
