New York: IMF managing director Horst Koehler said
that an apparently speedy end to the war in Iraq and the
spirit of co-operation that is seen has boosted his hopes
for world economic recovery.

Airlines, 2 unions seal wage deal
Chicago: The American Airlines said that it has
reached deals with two of its unions to increase pay if
the carrier returned to vigorous profitability. The airline
tried to seal concession agreements aiming at staving
off an imminent bankruptcy.
