Talk of hike in FII limit in SBI
Mumbai: The market is again abuzz with talk of Government hiking the FII investment limit in SBI. Dealers said that in the coming Budget session or through a notification, the Government might approve the hike in the FII investment limit in the country's largest bank.

Turnover tumbles further in F&O
Mumbai: Turnover further dropped in the futures & options segment (F&O) on the NSE on Wednesday. The segment recorded a turnover of Rs 2142.57 crore as against Tuesday's turnover of Rs 2415 crore and much lower when compared to last Friday's turnover of Rs 3013.45 crore.

Geometric Software lures foreign MFs
Mumbai: The stock of Geometric Software Solutions appears to have attracted foreign mutual funds. An analysis of the company's shareholding pattern reveals that foreign MFs have hiked their stake by 14.18 percentage points in the last three months ended March 2003. On Wednesday, the stock closed at Rs 406.65 on the BSE with 4.75 lakh shares being traded. On the NSE it closed at Rs 404 with 10.35 lakh shares.

Buying in pivotals perks up Sensex, techs mixed
Mumbai: Buoyed by buying in key index technology stocks such as Infosys Technologies and Satyam Computers, coupled with a strong showing by pivotals such as Hindustan Lever, ITC and State Bank of India, the benchmark BSE Sensex shot up by 34.94 points to settle at 3,032.32 points, reversing a five-day losing streak in the process. On the NSE, the Nifty posted a gain of 7.45 points to end the day at 958.65 points.
