appoints new chief for Life Council
New Delhi: The Insurance Regulatory and Development
Authority (IRDA) has announced that the IRDA Member (Actuary),
P.A. Balasubramanian, has been appointed temporarily as
the Chairman of Life Insurance Council of the Insurance
Association of India.

Reddy's Emerging Business chief quits
Hyderabad: The Executive Vice-President of Dr Reddy's
Laboratories Ltd, Dr Chigurupati Jayaram, who has been
heading the Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical major's Emerging
Business strategic business unit (SBU) since April 1997,
has quit.
