Mumbai:
Confusion prevails over the fate of 60-year old ayurvedic soap brand Chandrika. While investment banking sources say that Wipro is close to buying out the brand for around Rs 55 crore, FMCG major Marico Industries claims to have already signed an MoU with the Chandrika family, according to which the family has agreed to license the brand exclusively to Marico for an initial but renewable period of 50 years.
