New Delhi: The European Community accounted for 33
per cent of the total of 82 anti-dumping cases initiated
against Indian products during 2002-03.

to buy back high-cost loans from banks
New Delhi: The ministry of finance will announce the
scheme for buyback offer of high-cost loans from banks
by the end of April. The ministry will buy back high cost
debt to the tune of Rs 40,000 crore.

blasts revenue dept for irregularities in tax assessment
New Delhi: The Comptroller and Auditor General’s
report on direct taxes for the year ended March 2002 has
blasted the revenue department of the finance ministry
for irregularities in assessment and scrutiny process
of income tax, corporate tax and other direct taxes.
