has appointed Deloitte Haskins and Sells as an external
advisor to its de-mutualisation programme, according to
its Executive Director, K. Kamala.

Steep
fall in IT stock prices SEBI seeks trading data
from exchanges
Mumbai: The Securities and Exchange Board of India
has called for trading data from the BSE and the NSE on
the trading pattern of several market players during the
sharp fall in stock prices, especially those of IT companies,
after the Infosys Technologies announced its financial
results earlier this month.

Bajaj
Auto in for a rough ride
Mumbai: The counter of automotive giant Bajaj Auto
has been witnessing some selling pressure over the past
few days. The share price of Bajaj Auto closed at Rs 478.75
on the BSE, up 0.14 per cent, with a trading volume of
86,589 shares. On the NSE, the stock ended marginally
lower, 0.10 per cent, at Rs 476.45 with 1.83 lakh shares
being traded.

FIIs'
shedding drags HDFC stock down
Mumbai: The stock of HDFC is down by eight per
cent in the last three days. On Friday's trading, it declined
by 4.62 per cent at Rs 299.60 on the BSE with volume of
1.95 lakh shares and on the NSE, it closed at Rs 299.90,
down 4.44 per cent with volume of 4.16 lakh shares.

Mandatory
listing clause withdrawn Heavy blow for regional
exchanges
New Delhi: Companies are no longer required to
be listed with the regional bourses. The Government has
abolished the mandatory listing provision for companies
in their respective regional stock exchanges, the Finance
Ministry communiqué to the stock exchanges said
on Thursday.

steady; gilts move up

dollar on Friday as compared to the previous close at
47.34.
