Venu Srinivasan among Business Week stars of Asia
Chennai: TVS Motor chairman and managing director Venu Srinivasan has been featured in Business Week’s Stars of Asia, which covers the 25 top achievers in the continent. He is the only Indian manufacturer who has been acknowledged for this special distinction, a release issued by the company. “It is a great tribute to our diligent and dedicated work force at TVS Motor Company who have worked hard even under trying circumstances to keep the company in the forefront of our business,” Mr Srinivasan said in the release.

Kiran Chhabria likely to join Shaw Wallace Breweries board
Bangalore: Kiran Chhabria, the youngest daughter of the Manu Chhabria estate, is likely to join the board of Shaw Wallace & Co Ltd's new 50:50 brewing joint venture with SABMiller. As a board member, this will be Kiran Chhabria's first exposure to her family's Indian business interests. She will be one of the four Shaw Wallace nominees on the board of the joint venture.
The other three are Vidya Manohar Chhabria, the head of the Dubai-based Jumbo Group who controls Shaw Wallace, Niranjan Thakur and Prakash Nene, both directors on the board of Shaw Wallace & Co. The new venture, Shaw Wallace Breweries Ltd, will hold the combined brewing interests of SABMiller and Shaw Wallace. It will have a board of eight directors equally split between the joint venture partners.
