IDBI Bank chief to retire
Mumbai: Gunit Chadha, managing director & shief executive executive, IDBI Bank Ltd, has formally announced his retirement from the post at the end of his tenure on August 21. Chadha, a former Citi banker, had been at the helm in the new generation IDBI Bank for three years. He formally informed the board of directors of the bank of his decision on Friday. The board will now have to start the process of scouting for a CEO for the bank. A proposal for reverse merger of the bank with its parent, IDBI is still pending before the Standing Committee of Parliament.

Rahul Bajaj in WTO body
New Delhi: Bajaj Auto chairman and managing director Rahul Bajaj has been nominated to the Informal Business Advisory Group (IBAG) of the World Trade Organization (WTO). One of the key functions of IBAG is to add structure to the dialogue between the WTO and its stakeholders and provide a platform at which both the members of the body and the WTO director general Supachai Panitchpakdi can seek business input and advice on WTO-related matters
