New York: The Nasdaq composite index suffered its biggest loss in four months onThursday as investors, reacting to a cautious outlook from IBM and a profit warning from Nokia, sold off stocks.

The Nasdaq dropped nearly 50 points in Wall Street's third straight day of declines.

Overture would owe Yahoo on merger breakup
Los Angeles: Online advertising company Overture Services Inc. would owe Internet media company Yahoo Inc. $65 million if Yahoo's acquisition of Overture is broken up by another offer, according to documents filed with securities regulators on Thursday.

A copy of the merger agreement between Yahoo and Overture was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Thursday including the clause covering the break-up fee.
Xbox salees rise, Microsoft sees market share gain
Los Angeles: Microsoft Corp. sold more Xbox video game consoles in the June-ended quarter than it had first expected, though a price cut midway through the quarter played only a small part, a Microdsoft executive said on Thursday.
