L&T co-founder Holck-Larsen is no more
Mumbai: Henning Holck-Larsen, the co-founder and chairman of Emeritus of Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T), passed away at the Breach Candy hospital here on Sunday, after a brief illness. He was 96. Holck-Larsen had not been keeping well for the last couple of months and was admitted to hospital two weeks ago.

He is survived by a daughter, who is based in London. The funeral is slated for today. He and his former schoolmate, Soren Kristian Toubro, joined the same company, FL Smidth, Toubro reaching India first in 1933-34. Holck-Larsen followed in 1935 to submit a report on India's cement sector, a reported fallout of which was the rise of Associated Cement Companies.
