face risk
New York: Though company histle-blowers may have
gained new protection from being victimised under legislative
reforms introduced last year.
However, some experts warn they may have been lulled into
a false sense of security. They say whistle-blowers should
be wary about how they expose corporate malfeasance.

Hyundai
chairman commits suicide
Seoul: The chairman of Hyundai enmeshed in a payments
scandal over a landmark summit between North and South
Korea, leapt to his death from a high-rise office building
on Monday.
Chung
Mong-hun, 54, jumped from the 12th floor of the Hyundai
building in Seoul. "I ask you all to forgive me for
committing this foolish thing," Mr Mong-hun said
in one of the suicide notes found in his office, domestic
media said. The notes did not say why he committed suicide.
"This foolish person has committed a foolish thing,"
he wrote.

court directs Xerox to pay $300m to retired staff
New York: An illinois appeals court upheld a lower
court ruling that office equipment maker Xerox underpaid
retirement benefits to former workers and must pay damages
of about $300m.
