Moser Baer changes auditors
New Delhi: Moser Baer India Ltd yesterday said its statutory auditors, S.R. Batliboi & Co, have resigned, a development that pulled down the stock of the company by about 20 per cent.

The company said its Board of Directors has recommended the appointment of K.C. Khanna & Co. as the new statutory auditors of the company.

Mumbai: BSES Ltd yesterday declared a 10 per cent dividend, amounting to Re 1 per share for the quarter ended June 30, 2003.

The announcement follows BSES' board decision on July 28 to pay its 1.2-lakh shareholders a dividend every quarter instead of one consolidated annual payment.

AirTel launches`Happy Plan' in AP
Hyderabad: Launching its new service in the Andhra Pradesh market, AirTel, having garnered a subscriber base of four million users, has drawn up plans to invest Rs 1,200 crore this fiscal.
The Chief Operating Officer of Bharti Cellular Ltd (Andhra Pradesh), Mr K. Srinivas, in a press release said, "We are delighted to reach the historical milestone of four million customers.

In a cluttered telecom space with multiple tariff plans, this new service will bridge the value gap. With increasing number of customers choosing pre-paid plans, we have bridged the value gap, which is perceived to be a differentiator to these intending customers by launching AirTel Happy Plan for the post-paid subscribers."

Coimbatore: Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (Technical University) in Madhya Pradesh and IT education training institute, NIIT, have joined hands to offer a four-year B. Tech degree programme in software engineering.

The exclusive alliance will allow DNIIT students from NIIT's education network across 31 countries to pursue the University's B. Tech programme through e-learning and distance learning.
