Coke, Pepsi contain pesticide residue
New Delhi: Coca-Cola and Pepsi were indicted yesterday, with the Delhi-based Centre for Science and Environment revealing in its study that a `cocktail of pesticide residues' in soft drink brands belonging to the two global majors.

And though these two companies operate within the food laws prevalent in India, CSE alleged that they exercised "double standards", in terms of selling "dirty cola" in India, while their products in the US, for instance, contain no pesticides.

DoT eases norms for private telecom operators
New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has liberalised the norms for closed user group (CUG), allowing private telecom operators to set up such networks for corporate houses without seeking its formal approval.
