SEBI
paper proposes brokers' rating
Mumbai: The Securities and Exchange Board of India
has proposed radical steps such as separate trading of
`rights' in rights issues, rating of intermediaries and
issue of warrants for share buyback and open offers.
A
SEBI discussion paper released on Monday has suggested
issue of rights shares in the electronic form and that
these rights be listed and traded on the stock exchanges
for the limited period of their life in the capital market
segment. Shareholders can also apply for the additional
shares even in the proposed structure but would be allotted
shares only if some rights do not get exercised.
