Sundaram Home offers variable rates of interest
Madurai: Sundaram Home Finance has announced an offer of variable rates of interest for its home loans, effective from August 3.

Mr Nitin Palany, Managing Director, said that the customers will now have an option to choose between loans either at a fixed or variable rate of interest, in line with the current practice in the industry.

The current rate of interest at 8.75 per cent with a maximum term of twenty years is applicable for loans taken for renovation and extension too. Speaking to presspersons here, Mr Palany said customers shall gain in terms of value addition while taking a loan.

Hudco sanctioned Rs 5,311 cr loan to States
New Delhi: Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) has sanctioned a sum of Rs 5,311.15 crore as housing loan to States during the last two years.

Out of this, Rs 2,111.06 crore was sanctioned during 2001-02 and Rs 3,200.09 crore during 2002-03. In the current year, till June 30, HUDCO has sanctioned Rs 27.21 crore as housing loan, the Minister of State for Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation, Mr Pon Radhakrishnan, told Lok Sabha yesterday.
