Monster not to renew ad deals with AOL
Los Angeles: Monster Worldwide Inc., the online employment site, on Monday said it will not renew online advertising agreements with America Online Inc. and MSN Internet Service, which are set to expire on Dec. 1 and Dec. 31, respectively.
The company, based in Maynard, Massachusetts, cited a shift toward maximizing its brand recognition as the online recruitment leader for the decision.

Red Hat sues SCO
San Jose: Leading Linux distributor Red Hat Inc sued the SCO Group Inc, calling accusations of copyright infringement against the open-source operating system "unfair and deceptive actions."

The lawsuit, filed in Delaware federal court yesterday, seeks a declaration that Red Hat is not violating SCO's intellectual property and an injunction that would bar SCO from making untrue claims that harm the Linux business.
