Harish Bhat to head Tanishq
Bangalore: Titan Industries Ltd, the country's leading watch and jewellery major, will now have a new chief operating officer.

The company has appointed Mr Harish Bhat, vice-president - sales & marketing, as chief operating officer of Tanishq. He takes over from Mr Jacob Kurian, who had resigned earlier this month to pursue other opportunities outside the company.

Mr Bhat brings with him a track record of over 16 years in the Tata group. A member of the Tata Administrative Service (TAS), he moved to Tanishq two years ago, and has delivered strong growth of the jewellery business in a challenging marketplace, a press release stated.

His previous experience in Tata Tea spanned the areas of FMCG marketing, sales and distribution, and strategic planning.
