Aventis India MD to be head of respiratory sales, US
Mumbai: Aventis Pharma's managing director, Mr Ramesh Subrahmanian, is moving to Aventis US, as vice-president, respiratory sales for the North-East and Mid-Atlantic US. He will take charge on September 1.

Mr Subrahmanian will lead a team of eight regional directors in driving sales for the products in the respiratory therapeutic area, which include Allegra, Nasacort AQ and Ketek.

Allegra is Aventis' largest blockbuster brand globally with 2002 sales amounting to Euro 2030 million.

Senior executives quit IDBI Bank
Mumbai: On the back of uncertainties regarding the merger of Industrial Development Bank of India with IDBI Bank three senior level executives from the bank have quit.

Head of cash management service operations Anil Kumar, head of internet banking, Ravi Nair, and head of call centre, Aditi Pundale, have put in their papers. Head of product and sales, Anil K Sachidanand, recently joined HDFC Bank.

Kumar is joining ICICI OneSource, while Pundale is joining Prudential UK's outsourcing subsidiary's Indian arm which has been set up in Mumbai, Powai. Nair is moving to the Middle East. Bank officials were not available for comment.

Recently the bank's human resources head, Ulhas Deshpande and head of operations and retail assets Kumar Subramanian had resigned. They are in the process of starting a business process outsourcing firm. IDBI Bank's managing director and chief executive, Gunit Chadha's tenure is ending on August 21. He is joining Deutsche Bank as country head.
