Dilip Pendse Granted Bail

Mumbai: Dilip Pendse, ex-Tata Finance managing director, has been granted bail by a Delhi court.
Pendse, who has now returned to Mumbai, has chosen to remain silent. When contacted Pendse said: "I have been given bail, and that is all I would like to say.' He added that as the matter was subjudice, it would not be appropriate to make any comments. Pendse said that the Delhi court had accepted his bail application. The Delhi police had arrested Pendse after a non-bailable warrant issued by the Delhi Economic Offences Wing (EOW) for investigations into alleged misappropriation of funds by Pendse.

Delhi police had initiated investigation against Pendse on a complaint filed on behalf of Inshaallah Investment Ltd , a TFL subsidiary, in September last year alleging that the former MD had issued cheques worth Rs two crore to brokers for payment of personal transactions of a former TFL director.

IDBI Bank appoints CEO for 3 months
Mumbai: The board of IDBI Bank on Wednesday appointed a new CEO just for three-months, further fuelling speculation on the fate of the bank. New generation private sector bank appointed Ajay Bimbhet, country head-retail banking of IDBI Bank as its chief executive officer. It is understood that IDBI, the promoter of the bank, has decided to make a temporary appointment, till a final decision on the status of the relationship between the bank and the parent is finalised.
