Wheat export issue prices increased
Hyderabad: In a clear signal to discourage export of wheat in view of depleting public stocks, the Government has further hiked the prices at which the Food Corporation of India would be issuing grains to exporters during October-December 2003.

Effective October 1, exporters will have to pay Rs 6,025 per tonne for the recently procured 2003-04 wheat crop, Rs 5,725 for the 2002-03 crop, Rs 5,585 for both the 2001-02 and 2000-01 crops, Rs 5,385 for the 1999-2000 crop and Rs 4,985 for the 1998-99 (or earlier years) crop.

Five spice exporters lose licence
Kochi: The Centre has given Spices Board the go-ahead to cancel the export licences of five errant exporters. Board sources said that this was the first instance in which it has taken such stringent action against errant exporters

Hewitt study names 25 best employers
Mumbai: Hewitt Associates, a global human resources outsourcing and consulting firm, has named the 25 best employers in the country, by analysing leading HR systems and philosophies, and determining how these meet employee needs and drive business results.

About 220 organisations participated in the study, now in its third year, according to a news release.
