Poser to Murdoch partner's FM licence
New Delhi: Indian ministry of information and broadcasting (I&B) has given a show-cause notice to Rupert Murdoch's radio business partner, PK Mittal's Music Broadcast Pvt Ltd (MBPL), as to why its FM radio licence should not be cancelled. Star's subsidiary Digiwave provides content to Radio City, the FM station of MBPL, which presently runs radio channels in four cities.

The government avers that without owning the licence, it is Star that runs the MBPL show. "We have found inconsistencies in the documents sent to us by MBPL," an I&B ministry official was quoted as saying. The show-cause notice concentrates on the violation of Clause 15 of the licence agreement.
