Cancun meet collapses after standoff
Cancun: The fifth ministerial conference of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) was abandoned on Sunday without reaching an agreement on how to impart a new momentum to the Doha round of trade talks, after it was clear that many groups of developing countries were not going to accept the WTO proposals which they felt would hurt their interests.

World Bank To Fund More TN Projects
Chennai: The World Bank, which is funding projects worth $910.6 million in Tamil Nadu, will continue to support its development projects. The World Bank's country director, India, Mr Michael Carter said here on Monday that, ``we are planning to extend support to Tamil Nadu for projects in rural water supply and healthcare and for several untied projects.''
