Chhabria in talks with Interbrew
Bangalore: Mr
Kishore Chhabria, who is engrossed in a battle with the
UB Chairman, Mr Vijay Mallya, for control over Herbertsons,
is set to enter the beer business.
He
plans to bring in a foreign partner and is reportedly
in talks with Interbrew, the world's third largest brewer.

withdraw the scheme of arrangement for demerger of the
copper business.

New Delhi: Gail
India Limited is entering into a gas sector co-operation
agreement with the Republic of Philippines. A memorandum
of co-operation will be signed on Wednesday between energy
secretary, government of Philippines, Vicente S Perez

Samsung
targets Rs 5,000 crore turnover
Kolkata: Sansung India Electronics Ltd has targeted
a turnover of Rs 5,000 crore in 2003. In 2002, the company
had recorded a turnover of Rs 2,950 crore.
Of this, consumer electronics and home appliances accounted
for Rs 1,710 crore, the balance being accounted for by
the company's IT and telecom product offerings. In the
current calendar year, sales of consumer electronics and
home appliances are expected to generate a revenue of
Rs 2,500 crore.

Orchid
eyes Rs 1,000-cr turnover by 2005

of around Rs 450-crore, Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals
