Bangalore: India appears to be gaining ground over Silicon Valley, with an increasing number of startup and early stage IT companies preferring to have most of their human resource pool here, while maintaining a lean team in the US.

Grasso quits as NYSE chief
New York: New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) chairman Richard Grasso, whose $140 million pay package outraged Wall Street, was forced to resign from the post he held for eight years.

According to a report on thestreet.com, Grasso stepped down during an emergency session of the NYSE board yesterday group of angry directors decided the exchange couldn't withstand further controversy over Grasso's outsize package.
