Ayodhya case: Advani discharged; Joshi framed
New Delhi: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani was discharged by a special court in the Ayodhya demolition case, but charges will be framed against HRD minister Murli Manohar Joshi and other BJP and VHP leaders. Special judge V K Singh, giving his ruling, directed all the accused against whom charges were being framed to appear before the court on 10 October.

The judge also quashed the chargesheet against Advani. Apart from Joshi, charges will be framed against BJP leaders Uma Bharti and Vinay Katiyar and VHP leaders Ashok Singhal, Acharya Giriraj Kishore, Vishnu Hari Dalmiya and Sadhvi Ritambhara.
