Amar Sinha appointed CEO of BDA
Bangalore: The Kishore Chhabria-managed BDA Ltd has appointed Amar Sinha as the CEO. He was earlier associated with BDA as an advisor. Sinha has diverse industry experience, having worked with leading companies such as UB Group, Shaw Wallace & Co, SmithKline Beecham, Whyte & Mackay and Radico Khaitan.

During his stint as the president of Radico Khaitan and managing director of Whyte & Mackay, Sinha was credited with the development and launch of the 8 PM whisky, which became a million-case brand in the very first year of its launch thus, entering in the Limca Book of Records. Among the leading brands in the BDA stable is the Officers' Choice whisky, which has emerged as the second largest brand after Bagpiper, with a sales volume of close to 4 million cases.

L Krishna Kumar appointed CFO of IHCL
Mumbai: Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has witnessed a reshuffling of portfolios. Zubin Dubash, executive director (finance and strategic planning), has been additionally made in-charge of business and leisure, while L Krishna Kumar, vice-president, finance, has been appointed as the chief financial officer (CFO) of the company. This is the first time IHCL has created the post of CFO. The move comes close on the heels of the appointment of Raymond Bickson (who was in charge of luxury hotels business) as the managing director of the company.

The company will be roping in a new area director from an independent overseas property in December, who will handle the company's four properties in Mumbai, namely Taj Mahal Hotel, Lands End, The President and Wellington Mews. The company said that Dubash will continue to be an executive director on the board, and will continue to look at strategic finance even while he oversees business and leisure.
