CAT group to discuss re-test modalities today

New Delhi: The common admission test (CAT) group will be meeting in Ahmedabad today and tomorrow to analyse how the examination paper leaked. The directors of all the six Indian Institute of Managements (IIMs) will also discuss, among other issues, the modalities of a re-test. IM-Lucknow director Devi Singh, who is here to coordinate the future course of action following turmoil caused by leakage of CAT test papers with the government, held a series of meetings with HRD Minister M M Joshi and other officials.

The ministry, sources were quoted as saying, is finalising a report on the CBI’s findings which it will hand over to Dr Singh. Declining to comment on the issue, Dr Singh said: ‘‘All I can say is that the incident is shocking. It is too premature to comment. The CAT group will meet in Ahmedabad on Tuesday and a decision on rescheduling the exams will be taken by Wednesday.’’
