against criminals, court tells Bihar
Patna: The Patna High Court today asked the Bihar
Government to tighten up law and order in the State immediately
and send back to prison those ``criminal politicians''
and gangsters who are out of jail on medical grounds and
continuing their criminal activities from hospitals.

rises marginally
New Delhi: The overall inflation went up marginally
to 5.25 per cent for the week ended November 29 despite
a sharp nine per cent fall in vegetable prices.

growth dips to 5.4% in October
New Delhi: Growth in industrial output decelerated
to 5.4 per cent in October 2003 compared to a 7 per cent
growth posted in the same month of the previous year.
Cumulative growth in the April-October period of the current
fiscal remained higher at 5.9 per cent compared to a 5.6
per cent growth registered in the comparable period of
the previous fiscal.
