IMF's Krueger calls for full convertibility
Pune: International Monetary Fund's deputy managing director Anne Krueger, has advocated free capital movement citing the success stories of Singapore, China, Malaysia and Thailand. "India is the leader among the developing countries," she said, adding that the country had more to gain in a free-trade regime. She said trade liberalisation and full capital account convertibility should go hand in hand.
