Shortfall
in European output, avian flu in Asia
Coimbatore: Shell egg shipments from the country,
which have seen streak of gains in recent months, may
sustain this trend in the months to come given the shortfall
in the egg production in the European sector and the avian
flu haunting the South-East Asian poultry economies.

workshop on digital library
Hyderabad: The Centre for Cellular and Molecular
Biology (CCMB), here in collaboration with the UNESCO
and the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research
is organising a 10-day workshop on digital library development
for participants drawn from India's neighbouring countries
beginning on January 28.

Inc records robust growth: CII
New Delhi: According to a CII-ASCON survey, 17
out of 134 sectors showed excellent growth, defined as
growth of over 20 per cent in the first three quarters
of 2003.
During
the corresponding period last year, only 13 sectors recorded
this growth.
