salaries to grow 12 per cent:survey
New Delhi: The average salaries in 2004 projected
to grow at 12.27 per cent, according to the annual salary
increase survey carried out by leading human resource
consultants, Hewitt Associates.

Import
of poultry food items banned
New Delhi: India has banned imports of any processed
food items containing poultry meat or eggs from any country.
Ban has also been imposed on import of live birds from
countries affected by highly pathogenic avian flu.

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Government has approved
the Rs 127.41-crore IT Expressway in Chennai - upgrading
the existing road from Taramani to Siruseri and then on
to Mahabalipuram.

Govt
prepays Rs 1,350-crORE ODA loans to Canada
New Delhi: The Government has prepaid Rs 1,350
crore worth of Official Development Assistance loans to
Canada. With this, the total amount of external loans
prematurely retired by the country, taking advantage of
its burgeoning forex reserves position, works out to around
$4.7 billion.

Oracle tie up fore-governance
Chennai: Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu
and Oracle India on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding
by which Oracle would partner the Tamil Nadu Government
in its e-governance initiative.
