revenue deficit by 2005: Jaswant
New Delhi: The Government has set a target to bring
down the revenue deficit to zero levels by 2005, two years
ahead of the deadline mandated by the Fiscal Responsibility
and Budget Management Act, according to the Union Finance
Minister, Mr Jaswant Singh.

cuts IIM course fees by Rs 1,20,000
New Delhi: The Government yesterday slashed the
fees for Post-Graduate programmes at the Indian Institutes
of Management (IIMs) to Rs 30,000 per annum from over
Rs 1.5 lakh per annum.

Vajpayee
meets Kalam on snap polls
New Delhi: The 13th Lok Sabha was adjourned ahead
of its imminent dissolution. Prime Minister Atal Bihari
Vajpayee met President APJ Abdul Kalam to inform him of
his Cabinet's decision to call for snap polls.
