R.P. Singh is new MD of Bhilai Steel Plant
Kolkata: Rajendra Prasad Singh has taken over as the new Managing Director of Bhilai Steel Plant, a unit of Steel Authority of India Ltd , from B.K. Singh. According to a press release from SAIL, Mr R.P. Singh joined Bhilai as Executive Director (Projects) in 2001 and worked with various departments including projects and raw material division.

Ramesh Powar gets his break
Kolkata: Mumbai's off-spinning all-rounder Ramesh Powar is the only new face in the Indian squad of 15 for the five-match ODI series against Pakistan, beginning in Karachi on March 13.
The National selection panel, which deliberated for more than four hours, recalled Uttar Pradesh middle-order batsman Mohammed Kaif who had missed the ODI tri-series in Australia due to an injury. Leg-spinner Anil Kumble and paceman Ajit Agarkar were not considered because of injuries.
