N. Srinivasan to succeed Tarun Das in CII
New Delhi: Mr N. Srinivasan, who has been with CII since 1974, will take charge as Director-General from June 1. He will replace Mr Tarun Das, who has been associated with the organization for 40 years.

However, Mr Das will continue his four-decade-long association with the CII for at least another three years as "Chief Mentor'' of the apex industry association. Besides, he will co-ordinate the newly established Global Advisory Council that includes prominent Indian leaders and leaders from overseas organizations with whom CII has built strong connections.

Ericsson ex-CEO Hellstrom on Bharti board
New Delhi: Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd has announced the induction of Mr Kurt Hellstrom, former President and world CEO of Ericsson into its board of directors.

Mr Hellstrom recently retired from Ericsson after 19 years with the company where he held various positions including that of a member of the corporate executive team since 1990.

Nicholas Piramal inducts Saran Narang
New Delhi: Dr Saran Narang, a well-known molecular biologist and Principal Research Officer of the Genetic Research Programme at the National Research Council of Canada, has been appointed to Nicholas Piramal Scientific Advisory Board. At Nicholas Piramal, Dr Narang will work on the current Cancer Research Programme.

New Mahindra British Telecom CFO
Mumbai: Mahindra British Telecom, the telecom software joint venture between the Mahindra Group and British Telecom Plc, has appointed Mr Sonjoy Anand as the Chief Financial Officer. He will be responsible for the finance, legal and secretarials functions at MBT. Mr Anand was previously a senior executive with ICI as finance director of their global catalyst business Synetix.

Hari Verma for Toonz Animation
Thiruvananthapuram: The city-based Toonz Animation India has announced the appointment of Mr Hari Varma as the company's Director of Computer Graphics and Visual Effects. According to a company communiqué he is expected to play a major role in the company's foray into 3D animation and visual effects for the entertainment industry,.

Mr Varma has had stints at the Chennai-based Pentamedia Graphics, where he was head of multimedia projects, and at the Bangalore-based Digital Art Media. He was also the VFX animation director for the Tamil film Boys and for the Hindi film Koi Mil Gaya.
