Suitings: S. Krishnamoorthy is new COO
New Delhi: Grasim Industries, a Aditya Birla Group
company, has announced the appointment of S. Krishnamoorthy
as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of its textile and apparel
business. Mr Krishnamoorthy joined Grasim in August 1999
as Executive President- Fabrics & Apparels.

Hyderabad: The city-based Vishwabharathy Foundation
has decided to present its 'Star of India Awards' to Prof
U.R. Rao, former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organization;
Dr Rajesh Sharma, Managing Director of Narayana Hrudayalaya
(Bangalore); Mr Sanjay Puri, Mr Ram Jethmalani, senior
advocate, Mr A.G. Kalmankar, Managing Director of State
Bank of Hyderabad, and Dr Verghese Kurien, the father
of white revolution. The awards will be conferred on them
on Sunday at a function to be held at Telugu Lalitha Kala
Thoranam.
