clears Sun Pharma JV
New Delhi: According to reports, Bangladesh has
agreed to issue a production license to a joint venture
promoted by Indian drug company Sun Pharma in Bangladesh.
Sun Pharma's original application with the Bangladeshi
government is at least two years old.

Ten
Sports rate for Indo-Pak series remains at Rs 14
New Delhi: Cable Distribution Network (CDN), the
cable distribution partners of Ten Sports in India, has
announced that the price of Ten Sports would remain at
Rs 14, the same price at which the channel was launched
two years back. According to Lalit Modi, CDN 's President,
they have imported close to 3,000 decoders into India
for increasing the reach of the channel.
Modi also says that they are requesting the cable operators
to increase their declarations to at least 25-30 per cent
of their total subscriber base, which would still be far
from their total number of subscribers who pay them every
month.

Tyre re-tread franchisees abroad
Chennai: MRF Ltd intends to establish franchisees
for tyre re-treading in different overseas markets where
the company's products will be used exclusively. The company
also intends to increase the visibility of its products
by advertisements in print media and participation in
trade fairs and exhibitions abroad.
The company is focusing on an export thrust in the current
year with their overseas offices gearing up for widening
the existing markets and identifying potential markets
in their respective regions.MRF's exports, last year,
increased to Rs 316.72 crore from Rs 226.72 crore in the
previous year - an increase of about 40 per cent.

Pepsi
to hike capacity by 40 pc
New Delhi: Pepsi Foods is planning to raise capacity
by upwards of 40 per cent in the current year by setting
up new greenfield plants as well as appointing new franchisee
bottlers. Pepsi currently has about 38 assembly plants
in the country, of which about half are company-owned.
For the upcoming Indo-Pak cricket series, the company
would be rolling out a new campaign this week featuring
several members of the Indian cricket team. Pepsi is also
the associate sponsor for the series on the Ten Sports
channel.
