New Delhi: A special Indian Airlines flight from
New Delhi has brought the Indian cricket team to Lahore
at the start of their 40 day Pakistan tour. After a quick
immigration check, the team was whisked off to a hotel,
traveling in
a bulletproof bus.
Earlier in the day, the team members called on the Prime
Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who presented a bat to
the team captain Saurav Ganguly along with his best wishes
for the series. The team had arrived in Delhi last night,
after a three-day camp in Kolkata.
The
Indians play five one dayers and three tests during a
40 daylong tour of Pakistan. The first tour game is on
the 11th, with India taking on Pakistan A in Lahore.
