Maruti to launch LPG version of the Omni
New Delhi: The Maruti Udyog will roll out an LPG variant of its commercial vehicle Omni next week . The 'Omni Cargo', will be provided with factory-fitted LPG kits.

Samsung CTVs: Additional warranty for three years
New Delhi: In the period till April 17, Samsung is offering an additional three-year warranty for its CTVs, which, with its existing one year warranty, effectively works out to a total product warranty of four years.

In order to avail the additional three-year warranty, the customer has to fill up a product registration card being made available with the product.

The Samsung India colour television product portfolio comprises of its latest technology colour televisions in Plasma (42 inches - 63 inches), LCD (15 inches - 32 inches), Flat (17 inches - 34 inches) and conventional televisions (14 inches - 29 inches), priced in the range of Rs 7,490 to Rs 13,99,990.

Guntur Coca-Cola unit bags award
Vijayawada: The Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd at Atmakuru village near Mangalagiri in Guntur district has been awarded the Golden Peacock Award, 2003. The unit has been chosen from among 272 nominations in the food and beverages sector for the Peacock award.

The unit had achieved ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 certifications both for quality management and environment management. The unit was supplying Coca-Cola to Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts.

Vasavdatta Cement increases captive power capacity
Pune: Vasavdatta Cement, is putting up an additional nine-mega watt capacity thermal power plant to supplement its existing 15.7 MW captive power plant, to bring down operating costs.
The company's proposed new power plant will involve an investment of Rs 35-36 crore and is expected to bring down the power costs significantly. The plant is expected to be commissioned by early 2005.

The company is also initiating a number of measures to take up annual production capacity from the current 1.2 million tonnes to 2 million tonnes this year.
