EU set to rule against Microsoft
Brussels: The European Union antitrust chief Mario
Monti has said that settlement talks with Microsoft Corp.
had failed and he would propose a ruling against the US
software giant. The ruling already has the unanimous backing
of 15 EU governments.
Microsoft is fighting accusations of unfairly grabbing
market share from rival companies by "bundling"
its own version of their products with Windows - the operating
system that dominates the personal computer industry.

Wrap Up Free Trade Talks
Singapore: Singapore and India have completed their
eighth round of talks on a comprehensive economic agreement.
The next stage of the negotiations will resume in May.
Through
a joint statement the two governments have said that the
topics covered include trade in goods and services, investment,
mutual recognition agreements and a review of a bilateral
double taxation avoidance agreement.
