BHEL sends first gas turbine generator to Libya
New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has exported a 150 MW gas turbine generator to Libya, which will be installed at a 600 MW gas turbine-based power plant at the Western Mountain region. BHEL is the turnkey contractor for setting up the gas-based power station in Libya.The generator is the first of a consignment of four such generators.

HEC wins $220 million order in Iraq
Seoul: South Korea's Hyundai Engineering and Construction has won reconstruction orders worth 220 million dollars to build power distribution and transmission facilities in Iraq. This is part of a 1.1 billion dollar order won by US contractor Washington Group International, Hyundai Engineering has said in a statement.

DRL files ANDA with USFDA
Hyderabad: Dr Reddy's Laboratories (DRL) has filed an Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) with the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Levetiracetam tablets in 250, 500 and 750 mg.

According to a company release, DRL had notified the US company, UCB, about the tablets, and the latter has filed a lawsuit against DRL in the US District Court of Georgia alleging patent infringement on the two orange book patents.According to DRL, Levetiracetam is the generic version of UCB's Keppra and is indicated for the treatment of epilepsy.
