`Indica' sales in UK positive

New Delhi: MG Rover Group Ltd has said that it has received a positive response to the sales of the India made Tata Indica cars, marketed as the City Rover, in the UK since its launch four months ago.

The company says that it has so far registered 3,000 City Rovers in the UK and Europe. The company expects sales to accelerate in the coming months, with the car's rollout in more European markets.The City Rover will be introduced in six European countries in the coming weeks including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France and Belgium.

London: British Prime Minister Tony Blair has spoken out in support of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).According to the UK prime minister, the West should not fear this globalisation because nations like India and China, being high growth economies, would increase their imports as well, in turn creating more jobs in Western economies.

Spectramind loses out on Capital One
Mumbai: Capital One Financial Services, a US-based Fortune 500 company, has discontinued the use of Wipro Spectramind's telemarketing services, citing slips in the quality of service rendered by the Indian call centre. Wipro Spectramind says its internal audit detected employee misconduct in making sales calls, which it shared with Capital One. This in turn has led to Capital One deciding not to renew Spectramind's contract for outbound calls.

Wipro Spectramind, while confirming that Capital One had discontinued the use of their company's telemarketing services, have pointed out that they continue to enjoy a robust relationship with Capital One and continue to handle their inbound project.
