Geojit board to issue convertible warrants
Kochi: The board of directors of Geojit Financial Services Ltd has decided to issue warrants, which can be converted to 4,50,000 equity shares, to the promoters.
Approval for the issue of warrants will be sought at the EGM to be held on April 24.

Coke employees of Plachimada to go on indefinite fast
Kochi: Employees of the Coco-Cola factory at Plachimada, will go on an indefinite fast at Thiruvananthanpuram to demand immediate government intervention to protect thousands of workers, who have been rendered jobless following the stoppage of production by the company for want of water. They will also hold a protest march in the city on Monday.

NIIT and IIT-Delhi to offer course on bioinformatics
New Delhi: NIIT and IIT Delhi will jointly offer a curriculum in the sunrise bioinformatics field.

Operating under the aegis of the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi, the curriculum will allow science post-graduates to build careers in bioinformatics. Engineering and medical graduates will also be eligible to enrol for this programme.

Data Access IPO postponed
New Delhi: Data Access (India) Ltd has postponed its IPO, involving 5-crore equity shares with a face value of Rs 10 each. The price band of the IPO was slated to be pegged at Rs 17-20, and the issue was to open on March 29.

The company, which is the country's second largest provider of international long distance services (ILD), said that it could not proceed with the public issue in the wake of the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) seeking certain clarifications.
