FIIs net purchases for the week at $242.3 million
Mumbai: Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) netted purchases of Rs 1,100.5 crore (US$ 242.3 million) in equities, during the trading week ended March 26.

Mutual funds (MFs) recorded net purchases of Rs 34.89 crore in equities during the period under review, according to the data available with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) here.

The BSE Benchmark 30-share Index that had fallen by 7.43 per cent or 437 points in the preceding two weeks, ended the week up at 5528.94 as against last weekend's close of 5443.44, with a net gain of 85.50 points.
