Daewoo Commercial Vehicles now a Tata subsidiary
Gunsan:
Tata Motors has signed a contract worth 20.6 billion won
($105 million) to acquire South Korea's Daewoo Commercial
Vehicle. The signing of the contract converts Daewoo Commercial
into a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, the world's
sixth-largest truck producer.
Daewoo Commercial, with an annual capacity of 20,000 vehicles,
has a domestic market share of 26 per cent and posted
265 billion won in sales last year.
