AT&T, Kodak to be removed from Dow
New York: As of April 8, Dow Jones will remove three of America's oldest companies from the benchmark Dow Jones Industrial Average, and replacing them with firms that it says reflect the growth in the financial and health care sectors.The Dow was created in 1896 with just 12 companies, of which only one- General Electric-remains in the index. AT&T and Kodak are the companies that are on their way out.
