Pak denies visas to Indian tea delegation
Kolkata: Islamabad has refused to grant visas to a 14-member tea delegation, from the Indian Tea Association which planning to be in Pakistan from April 8. The delegation may want to visit Pakistan from May 17 if it receives visas.

The refusal has emerged within a few days of Pervez Musharraf's blowing hot and cold on the ongoing peace initiative.

EU in talks for IMF MD
Washington: European Union Finance Ministers failed yesterday to agree on Jean Lemierre, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), to be the next MD for the vacant post of Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund. His rival for the post is Spanish Economy Minister Rodrigo Rato.

A decision on a European candidate may be reached at an EBRD meet in London on April 18 and 19, a week before IMF spring meetings in Washington.
