Microsoft launches toll-free helpline
Bangalore: As part of its "Protect Your PC campaign", Microsoft India has launched a toll-free virus support helpline for customers across India. This helpline would provide desktop users assistance in recovering from virus infections, information on how to protect the desktop machine from viruses and assistance related to security patches released by Microsoft. The toll-free line - 1-901-33-33-34 - can be reached from six cities - Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad.

Adobe Premiere Pro: High Definition video solutions
San Jose, California, USA: Adobe Systems Incorporated has announced it will demonstrate Adobe(R) Premiere(R) Pro with high definition (HD) video solutions during the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) event in Las Vegas from April 19-22. The wide range of HD solutions available with Adobe Premiere Pro, from HDV to uncompressed 1080i , enables users to select a solution to fit their needs. Adobe Premiere Pro-based HD systems can be configured for as little as US$5000, significantly changing the economics of delivering HD content.

Adobe offers a scalable platform, as customers move from DV to HD using the familiar Adobe Premiere Pro environment , whether editing DV on a laptop or HD on a networked broadcast system. Bringing HD post-production to the desktop lowers investment costs and makes HD accessible to more post-production facilities. In addition to the range of formats, Adobe Premiere Pro-based systems offer a range of real time effects including transitions, motion, 3D, color correction and titling.

Pantone colourist provides easy access
Carlstadt, NJ, USA: Pantone, Inc., the global authority on colour and 40-year old provider of professional colour standards for the design industries, has begun shipping the Pantone colourist.
The new product makes it easy for Web authors and graphic designers to select Pantone Matching System colours from within popular applications that don't already incorporate Pantone Libraries including Adobe Photoshop Elements, Microsoft FrontPage and Apple Keynote, as well as Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash.

Pantone colourist also includes a dynamic, free Web utility called Inspire ME that offers an array of predefined colour schemes created by Leatrice Eiseman, colour consultant, director of the Pantone Colour Institute and best-selling author of such books as the Panton E Guide to Communicating with Colour and The Colour Answer Book.

Colour schemes are organized by the psychological affect they elicit. Search features allow users to search for a specific Pantone Colour to identify colours scheme recommendations and complementary colours. If the user wants to project a certain mood in a printed piece or Web design, they can also search by psychological affect.
