Ajay Patel is new dean at Babcock
Winston-Salem, USA: Ajay Patel has been appointed dean of the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University, which ranks among the leading accredited graduate schools of business in the US.
Patel, 45, has been a faculty member at the school for 11 years and associate dean for faculty and alumni affairs for two years. Since August 2003 he has served as interim dean of the Babcock school.

B. Muthuraman is Chairman for CII - Eastern Region
Kolkata: The Confederation of Indian Industry, Eastern Region, has elected B Muthuraman, MD, Tata Steel, as Chairman of the CII Eastern Region for 2004-05. B Muthuraman has held several positions in the Confederation in the past and is currently also Chairman, CII National Committee for Sports; Member of the CII National HRD Committee, the CII Steering Committee on Logistics, among others.

Ravi Poddar, was elected the Deputy Chairman, CII Eastern Region, for 2004-05. Poddar is Chairman, Ravi Auto Limited; a company engaged in property development, construction, automotive distribution, among a host of other activities and business interests.
