Win 4 Sure with Grasim Suiting
New Delhi: Grasim Suiting has come up with a 'Win 4 Sure' offer that entitles a consumer to an assured gift through a scratch card for every fabric purchase worth Rs 700. This offer would last till July 10 this year and be available for the entire range of Grasim Suiting products. A statement issued by Grasim Suiting claimed that this offer was the first of its kind to involve the entire trade including retailers and wholesalers along with consumers.

The retailers and wholesalers can look forward to winning trips to foreign locales through the `Win 4 Sure' offer. The promotion is being carried out in the markets of National Capital Region, Punjab and Western Uttar Pradesh. The gifts under offer can either be a wristwatch worth Rs 450, leather wallet worth Rs 250, Parker beta roller pen worth Rs 80 or a T-shirt worth Rs 370. The scratch card would also carry surprise gifts like gold coins, refrigerators, air conditioners or a trip to Kathmandu.

LG Care aims for the top three slot
Chennai: LG Care, a part of LG Group, will spend Rs 30 crore to promote its brand of soaps, detergents, shampoos and other fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) in the Indian market. The products will be imported from Korea and will be manufactured for Indian conditions. The company says it aims to be one of the top three players in the Indian FMCG market by 2006.

Bharti Tele takes up Rajasthan
Jaipur: Bharti Tele-ventures formally acquired the Rajasthan circle, by picking up a majority 67.5 per cent stake from Hexacomm, a mobile operator in Rajasthan. Hexacomm has a 41 per cent market share in the circle. Post-acquisition, Bharti has a consumer base of 2.65 lakh. Bharti Tele-ventures will be investing Rs 200 crore in the next eighteen months as part of its expansion plans for Rajasthan.The entire acquisition is principally a share swap deal wherein share/optionally convertible redeemable debenture (OCRD) of Bharti Televentures have been issued to the Shyam Group as a swap for its holding in Hexacomm.

The Rs 430-crore deal was funded by issue of OCRD for Rs 375 crore and the balance in cash. Hexacomm operates its mobile services under the aegis of the Oasis brand. The acquisition deal fructified after Telecom Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a 30 per cent stakeholder in Hexacomm decided not to exercise its right of refusal. The Rajasthan circle is Bharti's 16th circle of GSM-based cellular services operations. Bharti will change the brand in Rajasthan from Oasis to Airtel within 90 days from today.

Idea to provide State Board results through SMS
Hyderabad: Idea Cellular Ltd has introduced a new SMS-based service through which its subscribers can obtain the Intermediate second year examination results that are to be announced by the State Board of Intermediate Education. A subscriber can get the subject-wise and also the aggregate marks by typing the hall ticket number and sending SMS to 7890 from his Idea cellular connection, according to a company press release.
